A Pause to Say Thanks

I’m at the stage where the layout is designed, the turnouts here, the track on the way and am just one nice weather day away from picking up the lumber and start actual work. Since the actual construction (3rd layout of my lifetime, 4th including one for a grandson) perhaps will take awhile(!) I’d like to pause here and offer a big thank you to the many patient forum contributors who have offerred many great suggestions based on their experience.

I know I’ll have more questions (e.g., DCC details) along the way but want everyone to know their kind assistance is much appreciated. As well, I’m grateful to MR for providing this excellent forum platform as well as really helpful mag and video items such as the current Virginian layout project series.

Now, time to see what the weatherman says about rain tomorrow.

I would agree to saying thanks to MR also for their many contributions to this Hobby!!! Thanks!

You are right, there are a lot of good folks here with good answers to everyones questions. Also, another thanks to MR for providing the space for all of us to participate.

Once you have tried some of the suggestions, you can give your thanks in the form of helpful information on your successful and not so successful procedures to others that come along with their questions.

Have fun,

Richard

I second that motion! or 14th, whatever…
This is a great place to discuss & learn from eachother!
I think by being here, I have improved as a modeller, by learning & with common advice on various topics. For me, this site is extremely beneficial & I am glad to participate!
I hope that I offer a few tips, continue to inspire, & contribute, as other members have done for me.
Without this site, I don’t think I would have developed as quickly as I have.

I do appreciate all the members, those who support my efforts & those who challenge me, -I am a better modeler than if I had not made my first few postings here…

Thanks Everyone! I appreciate it!!!

Look, I even think I can make an old Kato GP35 look fairly good…
