A Prototype for Critter Fans

I found this little guy over by the train display at the Ogden Union Station. I know little about it, but I figured the forum critter fans would like to see it:

Luxurious interior!

I’m not real good at estimating dimensions, but it was about the same size as my Toyota pickup.

My guess is that an N-scale mecanism and wheels could be used as the basis for an HO scale model.

Plaza Japan is a good N-chassis starting point.

Thanks for sharing! It looks a little modern for my era but back dating it wouldn’t be difficult - a few rounded corners, smaller glass panels - who knows?!?

It must be heavy (not) - look at the size of the lift rings![(-D]

I wonder what the story is behind the modified grocery cart tossed in the back?
