As activity picks up in Virginia’s coal country, I recently saw diesels marked for Canadian Pacific, Union Pacific, BNSF, and Norfolk Southern all within a mile of each other in a 6 track yard.

As activity picks up in Virginia’s coal country, I recently saw diesels marked for Canadian Pacific, Union Pacific, BNSF, and Norfolk Southern all within a mile of each other in a 6 track yard.
Kind of like what you’ll find on my layout, at any given time. [(-D] Throw in some CN and WC.

Sometimes the engine service facility at the BNSF yard in Galesburg IL can resemble what you see at some club layouts - no “discipline” in road names whatever [;)]
