I recently purchased an Atlas HH600 (excellent model in appearance and performance–operation and sound) and wondered what the bracket below the cab and the frame is for. I noticed that S-2’s have the same bracket.

It’s a pipe that helps route the handbrake chain from the brake linkage on the trucks up into the brakewheel in the cab.
