A revised plan for tyhatts

I’ve been toying with a revised plan for a small switching layout. The first plan was OK, but there were some areas that could be reworked a little to enhance the layout. The first plan looked like this;

TexasZepher came up with these as a revision;

and

I like these too, but I’m not sure they’re perfect either (By his own admission).

I was also working on a revision and here’s what I came up with;

The plan can be added on to in the upper right and on the tail of the switchback next to the yard, making it a through path instead of a switchback. The yard features a switcher pocket and there is a small repair shop next to the roundhouse. You could also use that for a scale if you wanted.

I think that maybe moving the switcher pocket to the front of the yard might help with that, but what other revisions would you make?

hahah thanx for the help guys… although those plans are very nice… they are a little outta my price range hahah phils cost over 300 dollars… if i were to turn all the straights into flew it would probably cost around 275 !!!
still a little much

my layout cost around 160 … i really wanna keep it cheap ! … well not cheap but… around 175 or less…

i dont want to get into anything TOO complicated right now ya know ???

i wish i had the money for those plans tho… they are very nice and thanx again !!!
