About how fast (in RPMs) does the plow in the rotary spin?
I seen something on youtube about that same question. But I can not find it.
Canadian Pacific built two rotaries in 1911 with heavy blades that turned at 400 rpm. I would guess newer models would have been 500 or 600 rpm.
Free wheeling or plowing snow? When plowing the speed is going to be a function of snow density and pushing speed. Both of which should be considered to keep the plow at or near max. rpms.
I was wondering top speed. I am working on a small project…
