A Sticky Subject

Over the years I have tried various methods of “sticking” my plasticville people to the station platform. Needless to say I have tried something new and it works great. They are called GLUE DOTS and you can buy them at any Walgreen’s Store. You get 200 dots and they cost me less than $3.00. A handy little dispenser makes the job easy.

My plasticville people are soooooo appreciative since being hit by a train has been reduced. [swg]

Hmmmm I have never heard of glue dots, but it is pretty clever. Can you move your people around whenever you want to without damaging surfaces?

Life is good at Roger’s Corners.

YES, the dots remind me of rubber cement, but clear.

That’s pretty neat.[;)]

Buckeye, Thanks for sharing a great idea[^]

Just wondering; do they make those Glue Dots for the 1-to-1 scale people?? that would come in handy, and would be allot less messy than cleaning all this bubble gum off the floor[(-D]

Thank you for the information. (Someone, and I dare not say who, has a habit of ‘bumping’ into the layout which often causes “falling” people) Sounds like a great product.

I’ve been using these for years, guess I should have spread the word. Could have saved a couple of plactic lives. I buy them at AC Moore, I would guess any craft store would have them. They come in two sizes that I know of 3/16" with 300 on a roll and 1/2" with 75 on a roll. There may be other sizes.

For a person from Ohizo, pretty good idea. I have used the black w/s sealing rope. A tiny pinch does the trick. This sounds a little “neater”. BTW: the black w/s sealing rope, a little pinch on the end of your screwdriver will hold those tiny toy train screws that are always where fingers can not reach.

The orginal posting as now published in CTT on page 34.

Great idea and one I hadn’t thought of. Thanks

Mike

I found them, and even tried them out. They work really good, another simple million $ idea. Have anyone of you used them for populating pass cars?

No, but I’d bet bthey would also work great for holding loads on flat cars too!! Ken

BUCKEYE,

BIG CONGA on being published on pg 34. Seems like you might have your own corner in the magazine at CTT ? Could be entitled Live from ROGERS CORNER in OHIO, its BUCKEYE RIVETER KNOWS BEST? How bout it GYZ?

This is a Great idea - also as mentioned for flat loads that need more than a rubber band. I can’t find them at Walgreens; I will look at craft stores. Maybe Michaels or Hobby Lobby?
