a stringer of new prototype pictures

fishing has been pretty good lately[:D] here is my latest catch for all y’all western deprived railfans. i didnt want to fill up the photo fun post with all these non-model pics so i’ll post em all here.

first off, we’ll wander around with the BNSF

this train is heading westbound, just west of Acoma, NM. stupid power poles always get in the way[:D]

this train is heading east (south?) from Springfield MO to Memphis TN on the Thayer sub. i chased this train from Springfield to this crossing and stood in the rain for this shot. it came out pretty well

this is a pretty poor picture. i took it through the windshield just west of Winslow AZ. that is a pretty interesting looking blue loco though.

i think i already posted this one here… it is a shot of a BNSF train climbing up Cajon Pass in California.

and now, on to some UP action

i think someone had a bad day…

a ton of AC power on a westbound grain train in Nevada

here are a couple of shots of a trio of UP 8-40C’s that i shot coming through Mohawk pass in Arizona.

here is a night shot that actually came out somewhat decent

and finally, a westbound UP train blowing through Lovelock Nevada.

…Good pictures…Would you happen to have any shots you might show us in the Kingman, Az. area…worked there doing some automotive test work some years ago and watched the Santa Fe every chance I had…

cool pics, like the night shot, cool to see the numbers on that loco all lit up.

Dude, my compliments on the pics. That night shot is fantastic!!!

i never get to spend much time in Kingman. we stop there for fuel all the time and sometimes i will go out behind the truckstop and get some shots, but thats about it.

i took thosone out behind the Flying J

Hey nightcrawler

The night shot wasbetter than decent it was awesome. Great pics.

…I’m wondering if you mean the truck stop on old 66 at the east end of Kingman…If so, that is were we had our base of operations of the test work we were doing in the area…[running old, old, 66 up by Oatman, etc…], and used a building [metal covered], between , the main truck stop and the railroad…Have no idea if it’s even there anymore…as our operation there was some years ago…

Really nice pics…the nightime flag shot is outstanding…the last pic with the green bearded one …is that a lease unit…FURYX?
