A trip to Tucson, AZ's newly restored AmTrak station--PHOTOS!!

Hi everyone,

We went to our local Amtrak station that they are almost finshed restoring and is it a beauty! They even have the last steam engine to ever serve on the Tucson line restored and on display. Everything was closed up tighter than a drum, but I did manage to sneek my family in to get some shots.

The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum is also located here, and is being built. I believe a local chapter of some model railroading club will have a layout inside, although I’m not sure of the gauge. Take a look!

Yeah, I thought they were shopping carts at first too, which is why I took the picture. Then I realized they are for luggage. Still kinda neat in an Andy Warhol kind of way[8D]
