I am looking for CAD of a railroad AAR 40’ box car that was maybe used to make a HO scale model. I need one that I can modify into a M of W car and then make a HO scale model of it on a 3D printer. I would like to be able to do this in flat panels in a kit form, like 2 sides, 2 ends, roof, floor and so on. Do you know where I could purchase this?

First things first - Are you planning to make models to sell, or is this an exercise in technology? 3D printer hardware can cost about $5,000 and the software is not cheap either. You might want to look at Shapeways 3D printing service - I have seen a number of HO cars/engines done up on CAD and sent to Shapeways for ‘printing’.
The next item is what AAR 40’ box car are you looking at? 1932, 1937, or ‘improved’ 1937? These cars have standardized mounting points that allow rail industry manufacturers to offer different roofs/ends/doors/etc…
