Yet again this forum has swallowed and vanished my answer while I’m writing it (Fall trees thread).
WHY does it do this?
Is there a way I can avoid/prevent it?
I know that I can write in a word doc and thenpost but that is a fiddle and I have to go into the post and reset the type and sometimes the formatting.
I can’t even save or copy as I go with the post as I write it or edit it.

This new forum is nowhere near as good as the old one.
Yes Bob it might be at this end… but it didn’t happen in the old forum and i could copy as I went.
I’ve re-done the foliage post in word and posted it… now it falls off the right hand side of the page… is there a way to correct this.
The great thing with the old site was that I didn’t have to know much about computers to sort everything out. I want to spend my time trying to be helpful not working out how to use the site.
Thanks all.
I’ll take a look at that other forum… sorry…[Robert]… this one one let me look at more than one answer at a time while writing a post.
Looks interesting… doesn’t have a general discussion page though… which is the good thing here…
The forum shortcomings have also driven away several hundered modelers as well, so it is far from a perfect forum and most certainly not a step forward.
Was having problems also and descovered it was a browser problem, see programs are made up of lots of bits and if the wrong one gets lost or fails, poof dose not work.
In response to your invite I’ve registered. Seems I have to wait to be activated. [%-)] (A lot of young kids at work seem to need activating these days… trouble is school has to be “interesting and exciting” for them and they have to be asked to do things nicely… absolutely no preperation for the real world. I tell them that not eating or having a place to live is a lot more boring than a job… naturally I tell them in a nice, interesting and exciting way…)
I tried the link here several times… the previous one works this one comes up “error”. I’ll keep looking…when I’m activated…[:)]
