AC6000CW

Is the AC6000CW identical to the AC4400CW?

The AC6000CW and the AC4400CW are somewhat similar in appearance, but they have several differences. For example, the AC6000 has the brakewheel on the engineer’s side of the locomotive, the AC4400 has it on the opposite side. The AC6000 has a grabiron ladder on the side on the long hood near the exhaust stack, the AC4400 does not.

On another note, the AC4400CW is almost identical to the C44-9W, the most notable difference being behind the cab of the left side of the locomotive. The C44-9W has an air conditioner, while the AC4400CW has the equipment used to convert DC power to AC. Im sorry I can’t point out all of the differences, I dont know all that much about the AC6000CW.

The rear of the long hood is different also. The AC6000 has an overhang that extends over the rear porch.
