One day I had a can of Testors Italian Red spray paint with no purpose. With nothing better to do I sprayed an old Athearn F7 body with it and let it dry. It was the most beautiful GLOSSY Ferrari red F7 you can imagine. Over time I let it just lay around the room until a black marks a lot found my hand. I started drawing on the roof of the thing. Here is what it looks like and what it is becoming. The color temp of the photos is way off but you can get the idea.

I hit the shell with dulcoat and wow it matched the Katy red! I went out bought the details and the decals. It is still a work in progress but it was never a project. Just something that happened. I installed a decoder in it yesterday and will piddle with it and see what happens.

Some of the greatest discoveries by mankind happened just by accident.[:D]

Did you know that LSD was discovered by a scientist/physician in Switzerland while the man was trying to find a cure for the common cold?[:o)] That is true. But, it was not what I would call a great discovery. Rogaine was discovered to grow hair on balding men even though the drug was originally a medication for high blood pressure!!
