Can anyone advise if there is a suitable thinner for Accu-Paint other than their own product?

In a word, “No.” I’ve tried Floquil thinner and paint thinner (lacquer thinner). Neither worked anywhere near as well as Accu-Paint’s thinner.

I’ve used lacquer thinner with excellent results, and, while I’ve never used the SMP thinner, I can’t imagine that it could give any better results. [swg]

SMP’s thinner is in fact Acetone, available at your local hardware/paint store
