Accurail BNSF Hoppers Real World Accurate?

Athearn Genesis’ Trinity Hoppers are very expensive and hard to convert to Kadees. I’ve seen the Accurail hoppers but these seem to be the same cars as their ACF hoppers. Just how prototypical are these cars and their road numbers?

Accurail products are not as detailed as RTR Athearn Genesis or InterMountain – you get what you pay for, and the RTR are naturally more expensive because of the added detail.

Except for the braking system underneath (somewhat spartan), I think the Accurail hoppers and boxcars are very prototypicial, well done, and at a decent price. I particularly like the their wooden or wood -end boxcars. [tup] Since you really won’t see much of the braking system unless you turn the hopper over, they should like fine. You can also go online to Accurail’s web site and view all their product in order to check RR line info and numbers.

Short answer… they’re fake.
