I tried to open Accurail’s new webpage and was unable to. is Accurail still open for business?
I’m able to get in. It looks like they just did a long-overdue overhaul of their website, you might have checked right as they were doing the rollover.

I always went to the Greenburg shows near me. There was a guy who always showed up with a big display of Accurail cars. I always brought along a spreadsheet with every Accurail car I owned, mostly Milwaukee Road boxcars because I was filling out my fleet. Just counting on this show, I always got a couple of Accurail cars each trip. I already had the metal Intermountain wheelsets at home ready to go. This worked for me because Accurail always kept refreshing their inventory. Thanks to them.
35% of my entire rolling stock is made up of Accurail boxcars, gondolas, hoppers, reefers, and stock cars. I’m grateful for them because they are one of the few manufacturers who still produces kits.

I have a fair number of Accurail cars as well. Had I not already had a large roster of Athearn and MDC when Accurail came along, it would likely be more.

Can’t beat accurail for quick easy hopper kits with a few upgrades like Kadee’s and metal wheels.
The problem is the OLD website security certificate has expired and they likely didn’t pay for a new one. Hence some browsers and anti virus will go “Nope, not going to allow you access this as it’s not properly certified and encrypted”

Quick easy hopper kits that are pretty accurate and come in roadnames like the WESTERN MARYLAND circle scheme. Yes, them and Bowser - I have a bunch.
I replace the whole truck with my special truck setup - Kadee sprung trucks with Intermountain wheelsets - yes, the trucks cost as much or more than the car, but they work so good.
