Accurately Detailed 1:48 Passenger Cars?

Hi Everyone,

Please, I would like to know which manufacturer produces passenger cars that are fully detailed, have the correct color scheme for the RR. modeled and in full 1:48 scale?

I think 3rd rail does too. They are very nice, and priced as such.

Ralph, you may also want to check into Golden Gate Depot for some fine quality pieces. I believe they are brass? Another option not to be overlooked, is the MTH Premier line. I have seen some that look very good.

WEAVER tends to produce highly detailed varnish. They are gorgeous models, but won’t run on less than O-42 curves.

Thank you both for your info. on highly detailed and scaled model trains.

I know about SMR models, which are also beautiful in detail, but right now I’m looking for passenger cars, both heavyweights and lightweights, from about the 1920’s, to the present, which are more authentic in detail, paint scheme, scale size and preferably of both the P.RR. & C. & O. Ry.

If, anyone would know, it’s you folks, right here on the CTT Forum.
