Wow, this sounds like a case of a bad mistake mixed in with a case of not-my-jobitis.

What’s next, planes landing at the wrong airport? Oh wait… As bizarre as it is, the train wouldn’t have arrived at its destination with no passengers, since 2253 originates in Boston. On the other hand, someone should have asked questions when nobody was on the platform at NYP. Not exactly a flag stop!

Things just keep getting better at Amtrak.

Don’t worry tho, they have our 6 on health care

I think the Reverend Awdry wrote about this once.

I assume by a 5:15pm local they mean a Regional Express. Must have been some very unhappy passengers!

Who’s running Amtrak? Moe, Larry and Curly. How does a train leave with no passengers? No one made a phone call. All parties concerned with this incident should be fired. No ifs ands or buts. How did they feel when they stopped with no passengers at their destination?

Amtrak is slowly falling apart!

some people should be getting their asses kicked and a 3 day un-paid vacation!

Passengers? We don’t need no stinkin’ passengers, we got a schedule to keep…

Amtrak, Washington Beltway Pendejos.
Any offer of compensation to passengers?
Is J. Fred Muggs the present CEO of Amtrak?

No passengers boarding Amtrak’s premiere Train service at there busiest Train Station. No red flag on this?

According to Amtrak’s website, the train left New York two minutes late, and arrived in Washington fifty-eight minutes late.
Eight minutes late in and out of Philadelphia; nine minutes late into Baltimore–but no information as to when it left Baltimore.

Dithering about what to do?

you know that warm and fuzzy feeling you get when they close the door on the plain and the seat next to you is empty. think of all thoes happy boston passengers. ha ha

New York Penn is a crew change for Boston - Washington trains. The NY - Wash crew apparently knew which platform to go to. Every train spends about 15 minutes at NY Penn during these crew changes; it’s not “load and go.” It should have been obvious to the Conductor and Trainmen that something was wrong.

I hope they at least refunded the difference between the Acela fare and regional fare.
