ACF Cabooses Built for SP and T&NO (as C-30-4) in 1947 - Any Built for Other Roads?

American Car & Foundry built 35 cabooses for SP (and 15 for T&NO) in 1947 that were designated as their class C-30-4. A couple of years later ACF send the parts for more that SP assembled themselves as C-30-5s. Back on September 15, 2017 I made a post in this forum under “Early SP Bay Window Cabooses in HO?”. What I was looking for then was a plastic version of any of the -4, -5, or -6s. I discovered that Challenger put them out in brass. But they’re not ever likely to be in my league.

What I failed to ask is this: Did ACF build an identical or similar caboose in the late 40s for any other railroad? I might not be willing to track down and spend the bucks on something in brass, but I’d be glad to repaint and reletter a plastic model for some other road!

P.S. I would also like to track down any plastic C-40-1 or -3 (all-steel cupola cabeese) that might have been made in HO

Gidday John, don’t know if you’re up for hacking and bashing, but about a third of the way down this page, it reads that an Athearn BB bay window caboose can be the start for a kit bash.
