Where can I buy Model Flex or Polly Scale paint in Australia.
Bob
Dunno about those brands in Oz, but here in the States, Wal-mart sells acrylic paint for $0.96 per bottle, great for terrain.
I’d try an arts and crafts store, or maybe an artists supply. I found a craft store nearby that carries acrylic pigments in just about any color you can imagine. They are extremly thick so you get alot of use out of a 1.75 oz bottle.
What city are you in??
Hello Bobby,
I’ve used BadgerModelflex. Takes getting used to, if you’ve been using solvent based paints before. However, I’ve had very good results with Modelflex and Pollyscale.
For Badger, click on this link: http://www.badgerairbrush.com/Modelflex.htm
When you get there, click on “Contact Us” and they should respond to you with info on vendors that see their products.
Polly Scale is owned by Testors.
Go to this link and contact them: http://www.testors.com/help/contact.asp
Give it a try![:D].

I live in Canberra but am willing to buy from anywhere.

You’ve got the above links for the companies. I’m sure they both ship world wide.
I’d go with the Polly S over the Model Flex. I’ve used both.
PERSONNALY I’d use Floquil oil based paint.(from Testors, Same company that makes Polly S).The colors are a little bit more accurate and they hold up better.
Bobby,
As Loathar mentions, if you contact the companies through the links posted above, they’ll
e-mail you back and tell you which vendors closest to your location in Australia sell their products.
There just doesn’t see to be a suppier of acrylic railroad paint in Australia! I tried the links and got nowhere. Is the message to go to Floquil? Beats me!

In Brisbane, Austral Modelcraft and JJ Hobbies both stock extensive ranges of Modelflex, Polly S and Floquil (non-acrylic) RR paint. Try www.yellowpages.com.au for Hobby shops in Canberra and ring them. I am sure it isnt that hard to find where you are
I am also fairly confident there is a train show in Canberra either this weekend or next… go and you will find everything you need to spend millions on this hobby [:P]
