Check out the Library of Congress web site’s Railroad Maps section – I saw a map of a real railroad named the Adams Express Company there a couple of years ago, which may have been the prototype for this model.

A Google search turns up nothing about an Adams Electric Railway. If there was such a product, it must have been very short lived.
A person by the name of Arthur Wellington Adams is the subject of a book which makes reference to an electric railway, but the book is out of stock. See
