How does this work: Adding a picture to a post or to a reply from my PC? I don’t see any attachment capability or cut and paste ability?
Posting pictures on this forum requires the use of a third party server such as Photobucket or Flickr.
You upload a picture to the third party server, then copy and paste the IMG into your thread, then Post it.
The posted thread will show the picture as part of the thread via forum software that accesses the picture on the third party server.

Also, is there any way to size photographs so they don’t drag the forum width over the side of the monitor?
And if there is a way to do this, can people please do it?
I have been wanting to try this myself but never could get it to work. I am testing this again here with a photo of a CV 150’ Truss Bridge I built last year. Hope it comes through.
Search Community is your friend. Tutorial on posting pictures
90% of the time, the forum does it automagically, when it sets the margin widths for the text bodies. however, periodically, it forgets, (often from slow loading times) and you end up with stretched pages.
I use Photo Bucket for all my Photos. They take care of the size. I then copy the IMG code to the forum message.
Determine your albums first as the amount of your photos there can get to be confusing to find and do not move the photo or the link to the photo here will disappear.
You can Edit your message here if the photo does not look correct. Remove the photo and put in the photo that looks better.
Practice.
Below is a Screenshot of one of the photos in one of my albums. I highlight the IMG code, copy it, paste it into the forum message.
For emails to people, I use the Direct link. Hightlight, copy, paste.

First go to www.photobucket.com and start a free account and follow the instructions to activate it.
Second upload the pics you want to post using the upload button in photobucket. It’s very easy.
Third open a picture in photobucket. There will be 4 selections to the left. One is Img code. Click in the box to the right of the words img code. It will automatically flash copied.
Fourth. Reply to a post here and in the area you type right click your mouse and select paste. The link to the picture will paste.
Click post and your picture will be there.
If you have any questions while trying ask away.
There is an easy to use photo editing program called Irfanview that allows one to resize pictures reducing the file size and screen size of a jpg image. It also has a few other editing features and the program is freeware. I have used it for several years now with no problems.
