I am new to this site and new to model trains. Hope I’m doing this right… I have a 1966 American Flyer All Aboard pioneer set. This has the built in tracks attached to scenery. My question is, how do I add lights, signals, etc to this set? Where do I connect accessories? Do I need special connector track? Do I need the seperate “button” control I see on ebay to operate? Sorry for being so clueless. I’m wondering that since this is a built in set, I may have limited flexibilty.

Welcome to the Forum !!! You will find it to be the best thing since “sliced bread” in regards to your interest in trains & modeling.
That being said, “You’re in the right Church, but wrong pew”. This part of the Forum is primarily for scale modelers - those that model in HO or N especially. American and Lionel enthusiasts are best served by the “Classic Toy Trains” section, and I suggest you ask your question there.
