The following two engines are now added to my layout.
Couple of very nice looking locos!
Congrats,
Ed
Good choices, Don.
What other steamers do you own?

Don:
Great looking locos. I was in my LHS the other day and Bruce has an unpainted Westside H-4 in his brass case. I’m kinda/sorta thinking about it. Those GN Pacifics have always fascinated me.
Congratulations.
Tom
Gee,steamers you say.
I have to think about that as I have been on a bit of a spree lately. I am recently retired and have been busy adding to my roster. I am running mainly GN,
In brass and factory painted I also have the same two engines I posted the pics of but they are in the plain black paint job, a GN 4-4-2 (a real gem) a GN 2-6-0, a few GN 2-8-0’s, GN 2-8-2, a couple of GN 4-8-2s and GN 4-8-4’s. I am missing GN’s 4-8-0’s at the moment. So other than the articulates I have most of the small and medium GN locomotives,
I also have a brass factory painted CPR T1a and a CPR 4-6-0.
I also have a smattering of brass, mainly small engines 2-6-0’s, 2-6-2’s, 4-4-2’s, 4-6-0’s, 2-8-0’s and a few 4-8-2’s. These are currently unpainted and cover a variety of road names.
I also have a few dozen Bachmann Spectrum engines, most with sound. Basically 3 or 4 of each of Bachmann’s Spectrum steam engines. These are great engines for the money.
I have a few Proto Heritage steamers, all first release so they are light on their feet. They are nice engines but too pricey in my opinion.
In addition I have a number of BLI 2-8-2’s and 4-8-2’s’ I also have some of the TrueLine CN 4-8-4’s, I could not resist buying them when the had the fire sale on them.
I know the feeling, the GN Pacific’s are actually kind of stately and ungainly at the same time in their looks, but there is still something about them I really like. The 4-6-0’s are also stately as well.
Don,
Nice collection of steamers. I have gone in a similar direction as you, different road names in my case, but mostly the same manufacturers - - Spectrum, BLI, and Proto Heritage.

I don’t like steam locomotive models, but I will say that those GN locos look pretty good - especially the dark green boilers and red cab roofs.
