I have printed out quite a few of the signs that Tomkat has been posting on the forum. My question is, what adhesive does everyone use to attach these signs to buildings, fences etc. I thought about using some of that 3M adhesive in the spray can, but I was wondering if it becomes a problem on such small items such as the signs. My daughter used this product quite frequently and with great success when she was in art school, but her items were much larger.
The spray adhesive is very hard to limit to a small area. While it would work, I would think it would be more trouble than it’s worth.
I use Aleene’s Tacky glue, which is like thick white glue. Even regular old white glue would probably work, although if you’re using an inkjet printer, you have to be careful not to saturate your sign, or it will smear.
I use double sided tape.
Why dont you go to your local Office Depot or Staples and get some Avery Clear Labels to print out your signs on you printer! You just peel the label off of the backing and lay it down on you wall. Can clear coat if desire. Not removeable then. Kevin
