Adios, Amigos

Another one bites the dust. I’ve had enough! I kinda wish I hadn’t just renewed my subscription to the magazine. Thank you, Selector, for helping me to make my decision.

I really enjoyed my time here, and I hoped some of you appreciated my input.

Jim

Zardoz,

I hate to see you leave, but I know how you feel, and sometimes we need to stand on principle. I have always enjoyed your input. I can’t imagine who wouldn’t. Members come and go. So do forums.

Best of luck to you.

Zardoz Jim, I’m also sorry to see you go, but I fully understand your reasons. I guess you share my opinion that “a friendly caution” was a very interesting but poor choice of words given the content of the message…so be it. I am personally on the fence as whether or not to join you in your decision…time will soon tell the tale. I enjoyed meeting you personally at the Kalmbach offices a while back to offer our input on the magazine and these forums but I guess our thoughts weren’t shared with enough of the proper people outside of the TRAINS offices. Hope to see you trackside one day soon. Eolafan Jim.

PS: I hope Jim Wrinn and some of the other TRAINS staff members are reading these posts.

[sigh]----I suppose that one may have to leave----I hope you kind of stick around in one way or another-----[sigh]

I guess we don’t want certain topics here----[%-)]

We don’t want topics where individuals are singled out for unwanted attention. The rules are clear, and I have been tolerant while a first thread with my name emblazoned in the title circulated for a number of days. When I locked it, with an explanation, another appeared. It is unacceptable. The convention is to title threads properly, and be respectful of all participants. If you can’t do that, then you won’t be complying with the intent of our hosts. If you have an issue, contact me privately and attempt to reason with me. If you can’t bring yourself to do that, your only other options are to leave the forum, abstain from some discussions, or attempt to change the way the forum operates by pleading your case with the owners.

Please act accordingly.
