I have got a buddy of mine hooked on trains. He came over to day to help me move some things around and I showed him my layout. I finaly got to run a train on it last night. I think I spent about 5 hours running my train and today we ran the train for about 3 hours. Any ways back to the subject at hand.
Now he want to build a layout. I told him that I would help him with any thing he needed for no charge. He has a 6’x14’ free space. Although he does not want a retangle layout like mine.
Here is what he is looking for
14’ long straight back
6’ deep along both left and right side.
and about 3’ deep in the center.
He is looking for some thing like a (half dog bone.)
We are also going to make it in modules for ease of building and moving.
He will also be using DCC insted of DC.
He want to be able to run a steamer, some thing like a 2-10-2 or 4-8-4 or 2-6-6-2
He will be building in N-Scale.
So if any of you guys want to tinker around with some track designs feel free or if you know of any track design that would fit his layout feel free to post them. He is open to all sugestions. I do know that he wants a couple or few bridges in it. Some trains going over or under another one. He does not like to do a whole lot of switching.
