Senator Dingleberry in Illinois backs high speed trains going to Vegas. Meanwhile, Senator Frankenstein backs high speed trains going out of Chicago. Both senators swap favors for each other and get other senators from other states to sign with promises of kickbacks for their special interests. Then everybody can go home and brag about how much pork they stole from the provider class (taxpayer) along with all the free money.
It has happened before. How do you thing all those big dams were built out west about the same time as the lock and dam system went in on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers?
interesting that this and the Florida project, both of which were supposed to be 100% free-enterprise financed are both in the news today asking for government aid.

I call “BS” loud and clear. Why should my tax dollars go to support a private enterprise when many in Congress want to zero out funding for Amtrak? If these people want to run trains from LA to Vegas, let them raise the money from the casinos in Vegas!

Wayne, your taxes go to support highways where private erterprise travels every day. Why do you not complain about that?
