I am having trouble getting my 769 beacons to spin. The tower light works, but the beacon stays still. Any suggestions on how to get them to operate properly?
The beacons can be tricky to spin. First you have to have a bulb with a dimple in the top for the pin to sit in. Also make sure you have at least 15 volts going to the lamp. Make sure the pin in the beacon top is straight. Once you’ve done all that, check the pitch of the louvers, about 45° is a good starting point. Bend the louvers very carefully as they will break. Make sure the base is level. If there are drafts it can cause problems.
