[#welcome] Dave. Thank you for both the pics and video. Could you share if you used some sound deadening material underneath the green overlay, and what you used? And what exactly that green overlay is? Love the layout…lots of directional changing makes the view quite interesting. Thanks.

This is a plywood platform on a 2x4 frame, with a green carpet flipped upside down. The regular side was too dark of a green color, and the flip side seemed to be a better, lighter shade. I think it is an indoor-outdoor carpet.
I also had an o-gauge layout, and I used green indoor-outdoor carpet which is great for looks and for sound “deadening”, especially when using the traditional 3-rail tubular.
