Ah, that Marcia at Atlas must be a nice lady.

After giving Bachmann customer service a thumbs up earlier, I must tell you about Marcia at Atlas, whom many of you know.

I mentioned that I needed a handrail set for a discontinued Atlas/Kato. But that was all I needed and there is a minimum order policy etc. etc. I said I would think about it, and have been waiting to think of some other odds and ends I could order to make it worth while.

Today a parcel arrived from Marcia. She had not waited for an answer and shipped me a free handrail set ( + free shipping) to me up north. Now I have a warm fuzzy afternoon.[^]

Just worth a couple of bucks and a couple more in shipping, but a pleasant surprise. That’s what makes the hobby feel like a nice community.

And that is better advertising than Atlas could get for ten times the cost. Good for them and good for you. It’s nice to hear about old fashioned service these days.

All I have to say is “way to go Marcia!” It’s a lot better than “no” - which is the normal answer we seem to get from vendors. Yet another reason to like Atlas [:)]
