I recently uncovered some AHM products in the basement left by my grandfather. They include:
4-8-8-2 Cab Forward 5111-B SP
6404-RG
6402-RB
How can i find out the approximate value of these items and where can I sell them if there is any value? Thanks.

These sound like HO products.
Googling AHM and the part numbers will provide you a lot of links.
You may find more help in the Model Railroader forums, since this forum mainly deals with larger scale trains made by American Flyer, Lionel, etc.
If it’s in great condition, runs, and has its box, you can get as much as $150 to $200 for the Cab Forward. One in average condition could get from $100 to $150, and one in poor condition may get around $75. Don’t know about the passenger cars.
