Which ones? Some are worth getting parts for, many can be replaced for less than the cost of the parts. Walthers is the current importer, check thier website, there is a guy in Ohio - I believe that has a bunch of parts.
If you are trying to bring an old AMH steamer back to life, I recommed you “let it go”.
Some of their locomotives have been extremely upgraded and you should probably look into buying one of them. The FEF-3 is the best, also their Cabforward, Mallets, and Challengers are well. Purchasing a newer version may be the best way to go.
What parts are you after. I have a few old Rivarossi/AHM parts but I don’t know what they fit.
Stewart Hobbies (not the diesel engine people, the other one) sells replacement rubber traction tires for AHM.
The older generation of AHM engines are often found at swap meets for fairly cheap prices
I went to one where a guy had a box full of Indiana Harbor Belt 0-8-0s selling for $10 each.
Of course you COULD find that the one you buy for parts has exactly the same problem as the one who want to repair.

AHM is now IHC, so you could contact them and see if they have parts available.
Well, hopefully this thread can help me out too. I have an old HO AHM/RIVARROSI FEF 484 that needs a new geared driver. The rest of the locomotive is okay. All help is appreciated [:)]. Thanks.
Take care,
Russell
