The stock AHM plastic wheels aren’t too great in quality. You should be able to replace them with high quality 36" metal wheelsets from Kadee, Intermountain or Reboxx. If maintaining the car as “original” is important, try the next flea market. I noticed a lot of older AHM passenger cars for sale cheap at the last train show I attended.

hey thanks for the quick ansers
this is a 4-6-2 heavy pacific model
5087-e cl cost 60 on sale some time ago
its a riivarossi made in italy
its one of the main drivers
I did it but it was not working so I blame it on someone
who had it lol

I never get up early to get the deals at the flymarkets but I try to get some deals

but that steam needs the hardest wheel to find

Replacement wheels for IHC-Rivarossi Cars are $39 US for a 36 pack.

I don’t think so!

Hi, Budliner

Walthers is the current importer of Rivarossi products to the U.S., so why not try them?

The AHM part number you are looking for is P-305-020 )Front and center drivers) if it is the geared driver the number is P-305-022.

Some times those AHM parts are hard to locate. It took me a couple of years to finally find the parts to get an 0-6-0 running. I hope you have better luck than I did. I am still looking for parts for an old Genoa 4-4-0. Do you need the complete wheel assembly or just one wheel? I don’t have the original part but wonder if an IHC wheel can be substituted.

we got a big train show at the shriners autoturium hope I get over to see it
I got some cash for this wheel but if I need three or five loco’s for parts thats the place need more info on the trade shows like this one sat & sun

Hey, Ray!

Why don’t you tell us which parts you’re looking for, maybe someone can help? If that 4-4-0 is an old AHM/Rivarossi model, it’s basically the same as the present day IHC 4-4-0. Probably only the motor is different - if anything.

Good luck!
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
The Genoa is one of many basket case locos I’ve been piecing together. Its in need of one of the main rods to the cylinder, the driveshaft, the tender trucks, pickup wipers and truck screws. I’ve been looking for a parts loco at the shows, Just haven’t found one at a decent price.

Budliner,
Is the wheel you need a spoked driver or a disc driver?
