Ain't it always the truth....

So I’m getting some stuff together to take to the train show (Timonium is this weekend, and I’ll be there witht he RCT&HS modular layout - stop by and say high,a nd check out our rather large layout). T-1, check. All of my B&O hoppers, check (in case it hasn’t sunk in, I’m building a steam powered Crossline train of the late 40’s/early 50’s - handed off from the WM and brought east to Reading then then on the East Penn branch to Allentown), bunch of WM boxcars, check. my Kato WM covered hoppers, check. P2K Reading caboose…hmm, couplers keep falling off. No biggy, they are some knockoff anyway so I want to put real Kades on. I’ll just repalce the press on and pray coupler box lid with a Kadee lid and a 2-56 screw. Open parts box - Kadee couplers, check. Coupler box, check. Oops, too long, needs some sanded off - no problem, went pretty quick. 2-56 screws - check. Drill and tap for 2-56…OOPS. It appears I bought nearly every tool I could possible use except the proper drills and taps for 2/56 and 1-72 screws. Well, at least I know what to buy at the show.

And of course, when it rains it pours. In digging out all my WM and B&O cars, I found a couple more unbuilt kits in my storage bins that weren’t on my “unbuilt kits” shelf. Including 2 P2K tank cars. One of which is a duplicate number to one already on the shelf [banghead] [banghead] [banghead]

Guess it’s time to once again sell somethign on eBay. I dunno how I did that, considering I have a database of everything I own - and recently did a physical inventory comparing the database to what is on my shelves and correcting things I had wrong.
