Aint much for 300 plus hours. but shes almost finnished, lots of detailing and touching up to do, but this is on of the reasons for building this layout. The bridges are just sitting in place, have to remove then to get to more detailing.
if all goes according to plans there will be a lot of scenes, log being skidded with a cat, log landing, and perhaps a skinney dipper…LOL
Looks to be worth every second. I had the same thought with the combined Super Chief/El Capitan that I modeled, but after I stood back and took a long look, I was glad that I spent the time I did. Keep up the great modeling!!
It is a Beaut. I say stop right there, yer done! Then again you probably will find a million things to do.
I say time well spent. I hope that you gained pleasure from the investment of time and forgot about your troubles while building the thing.
Looks great. Do you have more photo’s of your layout?
Thats friggin impressive. I look forward to seeing it weathered. [:)]
I can believe the 300+ hours…holy cow! Very credible scene…the bridges are super, but the rock work is to envy.
Excuse my ignorance, but is this to be the Keddy Wye…if that is how it is spelled?
Aggro Ya Gotta be kidding…AH havent even got the paint brushes cleaned up and you want it weathered, be back in a few AHHHHaaaa fewwww…ya given me chest pains…gotto go find my nitro LOL…Thanks for the comps.
Selector. Yes it is the Keddie Wye, the hi-line side is a kit (back bents) and the front (mainline ) is scrach built, bridge is not mounted and side plates are off. Took two trips up the canyon, one to take pictures and the secont trip on how to condense it and catch the flavor of it. Thank You for your kind words…John
Wow. I got so caught up in the bridge that I completely missed that it was a wye.
You really nailed that water! Looks like a real raging river.[tup]
