I’m back in the hobby after a many year hiatus, and am in the market for an airbrush. I plan to use it mainly to detail and weather structures and rolling stock.
Given all that is on the market, help me spend my money[;)]
What should I look for, and what should I avoid??
Thanks,

Without naming names I suggest you develope a list of attributes you want and then look for the best price you can get.
I suggest: a double action brush with internal mixing, changable needles and possibly gravity feed. Stay with metal needles and seats avoiding teflon coating. See the fine scale modeler forum for extensive discussion of types and pricing.
You should be able to get a brush system for less than $100 and a compressor and tank for about another $100 or so. Considerable discounting is usual for all items.
