Airbrush compressor puts out about 20 psi

I didnt know it was this low when i bought it second hand no tank or regulator.Can i boost the psi up?

I added a regulator in line but the same

A regulator can only limit the pressure coming out. It cannot make more pressure.

I don’t know what that means.

I had a Badger compressor and there was no way to adjust the pressure upwards. I don’t think 20 psi is adequate for airbrushing.

Exactly, adding a regulator can only decrease air pressure or keep it the same.

Most compressors which cycle have cut in and cut out points adjusted
