I finally received my airbrush yesterday. a Badger 150-5 dual action with the fine, medium, and large heads in a wood box for $89 including shipping from Dixie art supply in Louisiana. very slow handling with this company, but the prices are worth the wait. the cheapest this unit in baltimore was $150. has a 1/4" npt hose fitting and hooked right on my upright compressor
Can you give me the link to the badger 150-5.
Thanks,
Andrew
I am looking for an airbrush myself…probably get one sometime this year. I would be very interested in how the 150-5 performs…I bought a air compressor last year (to blowdown sprinklers and water system on my trailer (right!)), so I am all setup for air…now I have to pickup some techniques on some cheap models, etc…can’t wait
there u go Andrew:

I also want to pickup a “drier” for my air comp. and need the other goodies, paints, thinner etc
Thanks
Topgun, What brand compressor? How much $? and what psi?
Dixie Art says most orders are taking at least 2 weeks for delivery. Lucky I only live 30 minutes from them in New Orleans.
That’s a good deal with the box and all 3 tip sizes for that $$$. Thanks for the link and good luck with it…Let us know how it goes!
I have a campbell-hausfeld ironforce 26 gal a/c. paid bout $275 in 03’. I generally run 80-90 psi for auto & carpentry airtools. airbrushes run on 20-50 psi from what I understand. ordered the brush on 1/20, called on 02/08 about the status and they said 7 more business days, received it on 02/13 from badger itself (a drop they called it)

I don’t think you will need 50 psi for the airbrush. I have yet to hit 25 psi in about 20 years of use.
The 2 gallon/ 100 psi Cambell/Hausfeld for about $ 70-80 is plenty for MR uses (check your local Walmart)
[#ditto] … using with a Paasche H
finally got the airbrush up and running yesterday. couldnt find airbrush ready paints in the craft store here, so I had to dilute some golden co. paints that were recommended. went good with the practice session I found on the net, but they will clog up real easy if not mixed properly. finally got the paint to an ink consistency and went pretty good. going to go out and get some cleaner and a few more supplies for it
here is a link for some airbrush info
