airbrush

looking for a decent airbrush kit. I am a complete newbie to airbrushing. I have read some reviews on various airbrushes and not sure where to go or what to buy. I model HO and most of my painting will be detailing and weathering. there might be a complete repaint of a car or loco in there as well.

I have heard some good things about the harbor freight airbrushes…for the money they’re a decent brush. I have several small compressors so a compressor isnt needed, just need a direction an a brush…

Jeff

Here are a couple of links. They’re for single-action brushes, but not the blow-across-the-top-of-a-straw type. They’re inexpensive, and will serve as good starter brushes for you:

I’ve found that it is an unnecessary expense to buy one of the big-name-brand brushes (Paasche, Iwata, etc.). The cheap ones do just as good of a job, and you can buy a bunch of them for the price of a name brand. “It’s a poor workman who blames his tools.” (That ought to ruffle some feathers! [:D])

JEFF,

Take a look at the ‘‘Thread’’ in Layouts,Planning and building…it has to do with,‘‘Air Brush Recommendation’’ It is going on now,you might find that interesting,in your purchase,of an air brush, Just a Thought,

Cheers,
