While waiting for amtrak to chicago in Indy Union a ghost train pulled in last night…all private pullman train!!pulled by amtrak power…stopped for about a hour to water up…Cars Said “Custom Charters” and even had its own crew…THIS WAS NOT PART OF THE SHAREHOLDERS MEETING and not a CSX Buisness train…more later///I believe it was enroute to cincy since they have a private car yard down there
I seen these cars in the Ft Worth ITC station last summer they were in town for the MOPAC Nat’l Conv.in Ft Worth or Austin maybe,Cant remember…They are a rarity in these parts…Danny
That was train 850 from Chicago to Indianapolis. The private cars are boud for Louisville for the Kentucky Derby.
I suspect these were on their way to the Kentucky Derby. Each year a group of owners of ‘Private Varnish’ make the trip to the Derby and this seem to be right on schedule.
