The morning commute is viewed running on the high line , while cars wait to be sorted on the freight bypass. This is on my layout built directly upon plastic folding tables. It is an odd mix of high rail and tin and I wondered if anyone else mixes Marx and high rail modeling freely.

Sure. The layout consists of three loops, one of which is elevated and a trolley line that circles a small town. I liked the look of mixing tinplate and more realistic structures, etc, but I do mix them freely…in a sort of hybrid way.
