I came across a reference to the Diesel Engine House. I am not familiar with the Diesel facility.
Has anyone built this model, what do you think of it?

If your referring to the two track engine house, one track a run thru. I just scraped one as I need some parts out of it. Its made with a thick hardstock paper, the stairs are a bit out of scale (as if I really care, going to use them…LOL) It has spruce wood to beef up the walls, 2 service pits and elevated ramps. Windows glue to the inside of the wall, as most of the kits did when this was made.

Yes,that is the one.
I have since been able to find a photo of this kit although it is hard to tell the detail level. The building itself seems to be of reasonable detail.
I realize that the kit is old stock but other than the windows being glued is this a decent kit or it it too dated by current standards? The windows can easily be addressed by carefull cutting and fitting.
Gads…I wish your post wasn’t a few weeks late, as I would have mailed it to you.
This shot of this was a few years ago to give you a feeling of what the kit was. I never used it as there were so many other things to do[:-^]
I could send you a few more and you could scrach build this to fit your layout or sent you the walls, sorry it is disasembled. There are inspection pits in the Walters Cat.
The floor was a problem as the inspection pit was raised, so that removing the ties it would suffice. However I dont like ties inside a shop and was thinking about stryine floor over the ties.

John, thanks for the pics/info.
As I mentioned before I quite liked the overall looks of this structure. This building is more appealing to me than say the Walthers diesel facility as my layout is loosley based on the end of steam era and the emergence of the early diesels.
Just something about the looks of that building i like, even though the kit it is somewhat dated.
