Hi all. Some of you may remember some aspens I made and posted a while back. While there were some positive opinions of them, many saw the flaws in them that I did. I scrapped them all!!! Well, I finally got around to doing aspen trees, revision 2. Ya’ll let me know what you think. My feeling is that they’re a big improvement over the originals but I’m always open to suggestions for improvement. Depending on what you guys think of them, I’ll post how they are made. Before I was asked not to post a how to but I’m under no restrictions with these. Honest opinions please.
I’m no expert but they lookGREAT to me!![tup][tup] My printer is all warmed up awaiting your instructions.
Tom
Much better! You filled out the folage nicely. Really good job.
I’m no expert, but it looks awesome! But then, I thought the first batch looked great, too! [:D]
Wish I knew you were gonna scrap the first batch, cause I would have taken them off your hands! Heck, I’d would have even paid the shipping! [;)]

Excellent Job!!! I would say go for it and post how they are made. I sure would love to know! [^] [:D] [8D] [tup] [wow]
grande man - The folage on these, do look better, I also thought the first batch looked good. You done a great job on them.
Stan.
That is great density for a stand alone tree. The early version was just fine for large grove style planting. Did you change trunk material?
g-man
great railfanning location.
OH, the tree looks great to.
Outstanding. [bow]
Awaiting the “How to”.
Regards
Ed
Spot on! I can’t find anything to complain about. I think you have a winner.
Good work!!
Smoley Hokes!![:O][:P]
wow, those are nice, i’ll be waiting for instructions
[#ditto] to what they all said!
These look great, so I, too, will be awaiting the how-to!
G-man,
Much better. More full. Nothing to complain about. I’m glad you called a mulligan.
Ok, ok…we all know they are GREAT!! How’s about a How To post?? A wonderful
looking aspen!!
What totally unmitigated gall! To post a picture of your latest tree just to get all these guys to post their “WOW” responses!
WOW!
Congratulations, it worked! [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] (If you stare at the picture long enough, you can see the leaves quaking!) LOL
Darrell, “WOW”-ing quietly…for now
Tell me, what machine did you invent again to shrink Aspen Trees to HO scale? How did you confront the density issiue?
Just teasing. Better than I could do. Plus more effort than I plan to spend on my trees. But then again Im just gonna use a bunch of bottle bru***rees with a doese of spray snow on them for my trees.
James
Yes, a very decided improvement over the earlier version.

To all that have replied, thanks for the input! For the morning crew just signing on, I’m still open to suggestions. I’ll try to get a how to post up later today after I take a pic of the “raw” tree material. Interestingly, the tree in the pics was probably made in about 5-10 minutes. The leaf material pictured is WS Fall Foliage but I’m thinking that pillow stuffing dyed with Rit Golden Yellow and a sprinkled with this http://www.sceneryexpress.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NH07148 would be the ultimate for low cost aspens. Once again, I’ll get some more info up later.
I’d say the aspen is on the high side of AWESOME!!! Great work, and please let us know how you made it.
