Also you could contact Intermountain directly

I know MBKlein’s customer service is outstanding, but Intermountain’s is even better. Email their service department and tell them your issue. I have dealt w Richard there before and he will not rest until you’re happy and satisfied w your purchase. Just aying since it sounded like you really wanted a NKP unit.

Moderator,

Sorry meant to post in the thread about mbklein service. If you can move it, that’d be great and delete this msg and thread.

sorry, iPad messed up.

The moderator cannot move it because the OP requested that it be locked.

Which raises an interesting question. Why did the OP ask to have that thread locked when all we did was help him?

I don’t think that locking a thread should be the prerogative of the OP. It should be up to the moderator once it is in the public domain.

Personally, I feel insulted as someone who was giving advice to the OP on that locked thread.

I was watching that thread, and was kinda shocked as to why it was locked. I saw no harassment, no insults , no bashing of any one or any company.

Of course, I’ve never been one to start a discussion then leave the room.

It was all about whether MB Klein would take back a damaged product and who would pay the shipping charges.

Based upon my own experience with MB Klein, whose customer service is outstanding, I offered some help and advice to the OP. Next thing I know, he locks the thread. Go figure.

Rich

I agree…As a moderator I would refuse to lock a thread on the OP request…That makes number two this week which raises suspicion.

Of course I have worked with moderators that was to quick in wanting to lock a topic if there was a different point of view given,a topic showing discuss with a faulty model etc.

Of course we also received “please lock my topic” request…We left it open sine there was no infractions of the rules. These are usually from the same members that reports a post as “abusive” even when there’s no infraction of the rules in the topic discussion…

Yes you did help me and a big thanks for that just wanted my ? answered and when you said what to do I did and I thought that this thread was no longer needed so I asked Jeff to lock it.I did call Intermountain and they have NO parts for the Nickel Plate units so back to MB Klein it goes.I will get me a Nickel Plate ES44AC from the Little Choo Choo Shop when they get them. And a big thank you for the help Rich.

Have I ever done this?

My ? was answered that is why I wanted it locked the unit is on its way back.

As this thread is a mis-posted continuation that would have been part of a locked thread this one is now locked as well. The poster of the original thread got what he needed. The discussion is closed.
