You don’t have to have a big fancy GRR to share the hobby.
All tell you, if there was people in the building ,they usually was watching the large scale layout.
Kids ,kids and more kids.
Heres a guy i meet from KS who builds 1:24 scale cedar structures.
Very clean and nice.
I was very pleased with all the help and with the promotors who had TV adds and newspaper, etc.

Marty, it is always a rewarding feeling seeing the kids eyes light up. That is always what I (as well as my fellow club members) feel when we do a display. I love doing them, specifically for that reason (and another is tricking my parents into buying me that boxcar or a few figures[:D]) Well, hope you have fun with the rest of the shows.
Wish we had more trains show/sales around here. Especially with large scale trains. We have one big one in early Dec., then a year wait. About 3 spaced out through the year would be great, and keep me from going totally broke.
I don’t travel too much. Getting too old, and have horses, cockatiels, etc. that have to be taken care of. So if it don’t happen locally, then its out for me.
Glad to see your pictures though, gives me hope that if it’s a success, and expands, maybe it will eventually pick up around here.

I have found that I would be disowned as a grandfather if I did not have Thomas & Co. up and running when grandson visits! We gotta do a half hour of Thomas, then we can get the other stuff out to run! Rain?, Lets run Thomas; Snow?, Pop Pop, I want trains!; Windy?, Trains, Pop Pop!; Nice weather, get trains running and forget about him til time to feed him!
A little slower today on Sunday. But I was told they had 4,900 come through the door s on Sat. Not sure if that was paid or just total.
Many grand parents thanked us for having it on the floor so they did not have to lift the kids up.
Aristo’s battery ready engines seemed to be a hot topic. Many folks have not heard of "on-board , RC " battery power trains.
We also feel that keeping a simple layout helps us pack up much faster and still is very enjoyable for us and show-goers who come.
