Here’s a picture of an instruction sheet from another Ebay auction. You may be able to read it well enough to help:
The most common AF air chime whistle was the #708, which had a single (red) push button and an oscillator tube. The #307 in postwar Flyer nomenclature corresponds to an entry-level Atlantic locomotive. Anyway, here is a wiring diagram for the #708. Gilbert always used the colored wires consistently on accessories (Black = Base Post, Red = Variable 7-15V, Yellow = Fixed 15V, Green = Track)
I also have a 708 Air Chime whistle generator. According to the instructions, you can only use this item as the sole point of power to the track. When I tried this I had to disconnet all my other track feeds with the expected results. Train speeds up and slows as it gets closer and farther from the lock-on.
Anybody know how to wire one of these units in when you have a series of track power feeds?
Thank you,
George
George,
Connect each feeder to the air chime controller.
