Can anyone provide a source for a replacement speaker for an American Flyer 471 ATSF B Unit? This speaker is held in place by a sheet metal circular clamp that is attached to the B-unit frame. I have the frame with clamp.
I am looking for the same speaker for a 481 Silver Flash. Radio Shack would be my first place to look other than parts dealers, but I have not had the time.
Does the 471 have Diesel Roar, or just a horn?
Port line hobbies also carries replacement speaker units
Thanks for the response. I have a 481 Silver Flash and it has diesel roar and a horn. The speaker in that loco looks to be the one I am looking for to put in my 471 B-unit since it seems to have the same circular mounting clamp. I will check out Radio Shack to see what they have in minature speakers.
I will check out Portline Hobbys’ web site to see what they have in replacement speakers. Thanks for the info.

I used the DHB28-Box Speaker that is an 8 ohm, self-enclosed speakers from Rail Master Hobbies. It measures 28 mm x 28 mm square. The speaker is only 13 mm deep, self-enclosed that puts out great sound! This is good fit for any S-Scale installation. You can go larger or smaller depending on the scale your working in. Just stick with the 8 ohm 2 watt speaker when using the True Blast II sound board. You can check out there long list of all sizes of speakers at: www.railmasterhobbies.com
