American Models powered turnout and uncoupler compatibility with DCC

I own S hi-rail locomotives that operate on DCC power. Would American Models powered turnouts [equipped with Atlas motors] and uncoupler track sections operate properly if they were connected to a common DC power pack, or would they have to be wired to a separate [DC or AC?] power supply?

American Models uses modified Atlas Switch Machines, as you stated, so they need AC power.

So, are saying that using an AC transformer to power the AM turnouts and uncouplers won’t interfere with operation of my DCC locos…correct?

From the diagrams I see, there is no connection between the turnout actuator and the track. The two circuits are separate.
Just for general interest, the same is not true for Lionel S gauge FasTrack turnouts. S gaugers operating DCC with FasTrack need to remove an internal connection in the turnout.

Thanks for the information, including that related to FasTrack turnouts!
