ROAR
Great story, and I wish Mr. Bookstaver a nice retirement. We need more people like him…people who enjoy their work this much. So different from most people who can’t retire soon enough.
Congrats Mr. Bookstaver, and have a nice retirement!
Someone has GOT to get this man’s stories before it’s too late!
New Jersey. Only the strong survive!
Guess I still have a few more years left!
Be nice if we all could be as lucky as Mr. Bookstaver. I think a lot of people enjoy their work. Their company, on the other hand…
Takes a special breed to be a dispatcher. Those that get it, “get it”.
This man has gone from Strong Arm switch levers in towers with steam engines to Mainframe Computer Systems to Windows…And he started with the Erie Railroad pre-merger…
Examples of his kind of work ethic are very, very rare in today’s world…unfortunately.
Excellent! Even the story in the paper was far better well-written than most accounts of anything connected with a railroad; I wonder how old the writer is.
